Lucifer defines himself by his will, which leads him to his eternal existential crisis: how does one exercise their will in a world governed by divine plan?

So he's set his mind to escaping his Father's predestination for him.

He's suave and selfish and arrogant, and he doesn't care at all about casualties. Anyone who gets in his way can be destroyed without even the slightest measure of guilt.

He is very low key, difficult to rile. He stays cool in nearly all circumstances, but the few times he is made a fool of, he can become violently, vehemently angry. For the most part, he just feels anyone he comes up against as too far beneath him to be worth the effort of anger. If he's insulted, he exacts revenge, and he can hold a grudge like nobody else.

He's a master of manipulation, but he never lies. It's a point of honor for him. As one man he used said, “When the devil wants you to do something, he doesn't lie at all. He tells you the exact, literal truth. And he lets you find your own way to hell.”

He appears (usually) as a tall, attractive man with hair that is blond or red or white, depending on how it catches the light. A little like staring into a flame. It also usually includes two curls that look a little bit like devil's horns. His eyes are like fire.
